Results from our Youth and Families Visioning Meeting

On Sunday, February 24, we met to brainstorm about where we are with youth and family ministries and what we can do to revitalize and expand our programs and youth outreach.

Background

Fr. Martin had invited Valerie Reinke & Denise Brumbaugh from the Office of the Bishop to facilitate a meeting of nearly 30 members of the St. Andrew’s community. They asked the group:

  • “What is your vision for children, youth & families at St. Andrew’s?”
  • “What are your goals/what do you want to achieve with regard to children, youth and families?”
  • “What are the existing strengths of St. Andrew’s in the realm of children, youth, family ministries?”
  • “What are the challenges that you face as you move forward with children, youth, family ministries?”

The group responses were captured on flip-chart pages and at the end of the session, everyone was asked to check those things that they thought were most important/that they felt strongly about.
